A little humor - Things greeting cards don't say
Things that Greeting Cards just don't say.
My tire was thumping.
I thought it was flat
When I looked at the tire...
I noticed your cat. Sorry!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heard your wife left you,
How upset you must be.
But don't fret about it...
She moved in with me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looking back over the years
that we've been together,I can't help but wonder...
"What the hell was I thinking?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on your wedding day!
Too bad no one likes your husband.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How could two people as beautiful as you
Have such an ugly baby?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've always wanted to havesomeone to hold
,someone to love.
After having met you ..
I've changed my mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.
I never believed in Hell until I met you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the days go by,
I think of how lucky I am...
That you're not here to ruin it for me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on your promotion.
Before you go...
Would you like to take this knife out of my back?
You'll probably need it again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy Birthday, Uncle Dad!
(Available only in Tennessee, Kentucky & West Virginia)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy birthday!
You look great for your age.
Almost Lifelike!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we were together,
you always said you'd die for me
Now that we've broken up
I think it's time you kept your promise.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have been friends for
a very long time ..
let's say we stop?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm so miserable without you
it's almost like you're here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy.
Did you ever find out who the father was?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your friends and I wanted to do
something special for your birthday.
So we're having you put to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So your daughter's a hooker,
and it spoiled your day.
Look at the bright side,
it's really good pay.

Sending e-cards may do more harm than good
So you thought it was a good idea. You were about to miss your friend's birthday and decided to send off a quick e-card instead of going shopping for a real card. After all, the time it would take you to go to the store, find a card, get something written in it, locate his address and write that down, find a stamp... Well, it just wasn't worth it. It would probably be late anyway.
But was that really a good idea? Read this article about the dangers of sending online greeting cards.
Another reason not to send e-cards is that many viruses are now being masked as electronic greeting cards. In addition, now spyware is now being masked in downloading the emails.
Instead of sending online greeting cards consider sending a real card with the easy of sending an e-card. Visit www.mailcards4me.com for your free Gift Account.

A Random Act of Kindness
Today I sent a greeting card thanking the PTSA president for all she does to help my children. That is a truly thankless job and the person in that position is often very under appreciated.
Will you take some time today to send a greeting card to someone that has been forgotten in the meaningful work they do?

My Neighbors
A couple of weeks ago, my neighbors came over for dinner with their children. We had a nice time. The next day we went bowling together. It was a very enjoyable weekend.
That Monday, I sent my neighbors a thank you greeting card for coming over to dinner at MY house and joining us for bowling the next day. My neighbor just thought that was the nicest thing anyone had done. I could just tell that it really brightened her day.
So who's life are you going to make just a little bit better today by sending them a greeting card?

The Philosophy of Charles Schultz
I received this as an email today and really loved it so I wanted to share it here.
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners .
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier? The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care .Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life. You are receiving this because you made a difference in mine."Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia ." (Charles Schultz)

21 Reasons to Send a Child a Greeting Card
When was the last time you saw the face of a child light up and glow because they got a piece of mail with their name on it? Children love to get mail. My children, even at 10 years of age, run to the door and ask if they got any mail today. It doesn’t even matter if it is junk mail. They just like to get anything with their names on it. Of course, it means that much more if there is a special reason for the mail.
Sending letters or greeting cards is a good way to foster a love of communication and writing in children. In our society, instant messaging, text messaging, and short emails have all but killed the art of good communication. Studies indicate that the more a child reads, the smarter they are. However, it can often be difficult to get some children to read due to lack of interest. I bet there isn’t a child around that wouldn’t be interested in reading a card or letter addressed to them from someone they care about. And, of course, if a child is raised to expect that letters and greeting cards are a regular occurrence, they are more likely to become better communicators themselves.
So take some time and send a greeting card to a child in your life. Here are just a handful of reasons you can use to send a greeting card to a child you know and help to make their day that much brighter.
They got an A on a test or report card. Make the joy of doing well last just a little longer.
They said, “Please”.
It’s their birthday, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, etc…
They were well-behaved.
They did something special for someone (even if it wasn’t you). It helps to foster the trait of good will when they get some feedback for what they have done.
They helped with dinner.
Just to say, “I appreciate you”. Do they really know how valuable they are to you?
They said, “Thank you”.
Just to say, “You’re Special”.
They did a great job on their chores. Rewards for a job well done encourage more of the same.
Because you haven’t seen them and want them to know you miss them.
Say thanks for being my ...(son, daughter, grandchild, niece, nephew, friend, etc…).
They made the honor roll.
They helped in the yard.
Remind them of an exciting event that is coming up.
Remind them of a neat experience you had together.
Tell them something special about yourself.
Tell them something special about someone you both know.
Share a joke you just heard.
They brought home a warm fuzzy note from the teacher.
Just to say you love them. Do you really need any more of a reason than that?
Will you be taking just a few minutes out of your busy schedule today to foster the emotional and mental development of a child in your life? I know I will.

My first custom card

Today I created a new custom card for my Nature's Sunshine business to use with Send Out Cards. This, of course, is a scaled down version of what the original will look like but I think it came out pretty good.
If you are a Nature's Sunshine distributor and would be interested in using this card for your business, please contact me through www.mailcards4me.com.

Valentine's Cards
Today I sent Valentine's cards to my mother (who doesn't have a loved one to get one from), my husband (since I will be out of town on that particular day) and my children (just to remind them of how special they are too).
For an interesting history of Valentine's Day, visit the History Channel website.
More cards are sent out on Valentine's Day each year than any other holiday except Christmas.

Have we lost touch?
It used to mean so much to receive a letter or a card from someone that those items were charished for many years. Those same letters and cards were often found after the death of loved ones and brought back cherished memories or uncovered lost secrets.
In our current age of e this and e that, letters and cards are now sent in electronic format. They are viewed and deleted, lost forever in cyberspace.
All the time we read about how everything has become so impersonal. Maybe it is time to get back to the days when we wrote letters and sent cards. The benefit of technology is that we can actually use it in our favor to do just that.
www.mailcards4me.com is a place where you can learn how to send real printed cards from your computer that include personal messages and may even include your own handwriting without you even touching an envelope. Check it out and see what you think. Are you ready to get back in touch?
